The Choice is Yours
The Election is over and now the ballots will be counted. The President Elect is Donald J. Trump. This will make some people happy and many others very unhappy. Will we wake to riots in the streets, gunfire, and buildings burning? Heck, we just “celebrated” the Dodgers winning the World Series by burning, looting, and flipping over vehicles. It seems the way to express our pleasure and our displeasure is to destroy, murder, and maim. This is not a new trend. Riots and “peaceful demonstrations” have always existed. Remember the Boston Tea Party of December 16, 1773? When emotions run out of control - people get hurt.
We can’t presume what the day will bring. Last week there were discussions of WWIII, riots, and a civil war. Will any of those predictions come true or will we settle into the day with acceptance, anticipation, and hope for a better tomorrow? As always, the choice is yours. You can chose how you live, your family thrives, and how you connect with others. Celebrate or console. Focus on today, breath, and get about living the best life you can have. The choice is yours.
“The Dye is cast: The People have passed the River and cut away the Bridge: last Night Three Cargoes of Tea were emptied into the Harbor. This is the grandest event, which has ever yet happened since the Controversy with Britain opened! The Sublimity of it charms me!”
John Adams
