A Day to Remember

Merry Christmas to you and yours. May your day be filled with love, laughter, and joy. If you are blessed by these three you are truly blessed.

But what about those who do not feel blessed? What about the people who do not celebrate the day of remembrance because they want to forget. Christmas for many is a day to grieve, to apologize, and to forgive.

Many have lost loved ones over the past few years to death, abandonment, or the effects of the Transgender movement that killed the life of one while creating the life of another. Many lost family and friends to the crimes that ran rapid across America. Many have been homeless or face that reality now. Others have lost their childhood innocence, been deceived by a loved one, or have relapsed into addiction forfeiting their life to an overdose.

Yes, the day is a day of remembrance and for many who have been blessed this year they can celebrate with a joyful heart. But as you celebrate in a warm home with friends and family exchanging gifts and a hot meal, say a prayer for the ones who can only imagine those things as they huddle under an overpass with their body providing the only warmth of the day.

When I recall the reason for Christmas, the birth of Baby Jesus, I also remember his reason for being born: to die for the sins of the world. Yes, there are many blessings attributed to this day of celebration, but I would like to include that we should also celebrate Christ’s birth, death, and the gift of eternal life if only we believe.

If you have been blessed and could share some of those blessings on others with a small financial gift, please go to the DONATIONS page and give generously as you have received.

God bless us everyone!
